I have just finished uploading students' first quarter tests scores into our computer system. Students' can check myRCS to see their grade, which will update at midnight tonight. I am very proud to say the students did very well overall on their first 7th Grade Social Studies Common Assessment.
I am confident the students are ready for their test tomorrow. During our review game today on the classroom Smartboard, I was impressed with their knowledge and understanding for the information that has been covered. Good luck everyone!

All students will be able to view their binder grade at midnight tonight on myRCS. Most students had excellent organization skills for our first binder check. Keep it up!
Tonight is Curriculum Night! This is a wonderful opportunity for parents to meet their child's teachers, learn about the curriculum and see inside the classrooms. If you were not able to attend and have a question, please email Mrs. Strausbaugh: [email protected]
Students should be preparing their social studies binder to be checked on Thursday. They will receive points for organization, neatness, appearance, completed work, and ability to find the specific pages quickly.
The "I Can" Packet was given today. This packet is used as a study guide for the up-coming 1st quarter test. We will correct and review the packet on Monday, September 24th. Students will receive credit for this completed work. Test Date is Wednesday, September 26th.
Most nights for homework students are expected to read the sections of the textbook or listen online to the material that will be reinforced in class the following day. We complete a variety of team/group work, Smartboard activities, short video clips on BrainPop, review quizzes on the Interactive Smartboard, or indvidual notetaking are examples of class work. All activities covered in class, tests and homework will be organized in the student's binders or folders. They will receive a grade for their binder/folder checks frequently throughout the school year.
